I get the message, "The image cannot be displayed, because it contains errors" when trying to view an image.
This message has been known to appear when using the Firefox browser and is attributed to the Skype toolbar extension. The solution is to remove the toolbar from the browser. That is done by clicking on the Skype tool bar button and selecting remove extension from firefox.
